When you first open Dashprep, a guided wizard walks you through setup in about five minutes. It asks a few questions about your store and uses your answers to set smart defaults — so the board looks right for your kind of business from the start. You can change anything later in Settings. There are seven steps.

Welcome

A quick intro. Dashprep shows you the web address your prep board will live at, so you know where you’re headed.

About your store

Tell Dashprep what kind of store you run (bakery & custom cakes, restaurant & meal prep, catering, coffee & drinks, general food & beverage, or other), your typical daily order volume, and your team size. Your store type drives which fields show on order cards by default.

Dashboard preferences

Choose your default view (all orders, unfulfilled only, or in progress), card density (compact or comfortable), and which fields appear on each order card — customer name, order total, line items, due date, tags, gift message, phone number.

Notifications & prep

Decide whether to play a sound when new orders arrive, turn on due-time warnings and set how many minutes ahead to warn, and enable prep stations if you want to split work across stations (you configure the stations themselves later).

Create your admin account

Set up the first login for your prep board — your name, email, and a password (at least 8 characters). This is the account you’ll use to sign in at your board’s web address, and to add the rest of your team.

Choose your plan

Pick a plan and start your 14-day free trial. Plan selection and payment happen on Shopify’s own secure pricing page, so your billing stays with Shopify. See Plans & pricing.

You're done

Dashprep confirms setup, starts syncing your Shopify data in the background, and gives you the link to open your board.
After you finish, Dashprep syncs your existing collections, products, and orders automatically. Large stores can take a few minutes to finish the first sync — the board fills in as it goes. See Data sync.

Next: open your prep board
