Prep stations split your board so each spot on the floor sees only its own work. This page covers setting them up. For the concept, see Prep stations.
Prep stations are available on the Advanced and Professional plans. See Plans & pricing.

1. Turn stations on

Enable prep stations during onboarding or later in Settings. Once on, a Stations area appears where you manage everything below.

2. Create your stations

Add a station for each spot on the floor — “Cold bench,” “Oven,” “Packing.” You can add, rename, and delete stations at any time. Each station shows how many rules and overrides point to it.

3. Choose how products route

Dashprep routes each line item to a station using a grouping you pick:

Group by product type

Assign each Shopify product type to a station. Good when your products are typed clearly (Bread, Pastry, Drinks).

Group by collection

Assign each Shopify collection to a station. Good when collections already reflect how you make things.
Pick one grouping mode — type or collection — then map each group to a station with a dropdown.

4. Add product overrides (optional)

Need one product to go somewhere different? Add a product override to pin that specific product to a specific station.
Overrides always win. If a product has an override, it goes to that station even if a type or collection rule would send it elsewhere.

The routing order

1

Product override

If the product is pinned to a station, it goes there. Done.
2

Type or collection rule

Otherwise, it follows your grouping (by product type or by collection).
On the board, station filters then let each screen show just one station’s items. See Filtering & search.
