# What is Dashprep?

> Dashprep turns your Shopify orders into a live prep board — the screen on the wall that shows your team what to make.

Dashprep turns your Shopify orders into a **live prep board** — the screen on the wall in your kitchen, bakery, or warehouse that shows exactly what needs to be made, and keeps itself up to date as new orders come in.

It replaces the printouts, spreadsheets, and group chats most merchants use to run the last leg between an online order and a shipped package.

## What Dashprep does

Orders come in from Shopify. Their line items appear on a calm, always-current board that your team works from on a screen. Staff mark items done; the board stays in sync for everyone at once.

Dashprep is deliberately narrow. It owns the stretch between **checkout** and **shipped** — nothing more.

* **Not** inventory planning
* **Not** delivery routing
* **Not** a CRM

Just: get each order onto the right screen, in the right order, and track it from *to make* to *done*.

## Who it's for

Dashprep is built for Shopify merchants who physically prepare or assemble what they sell — **bakeries, meal-prep and catering kitchens, coffee roasters, specialty food, florists, wholesalers, and CPG brands.**

<Tip>
  The tell: if your team currently prints orders on a thermal receipt printer and works off paper, Dashprep is the screen-based replacement. It shines most when more than one person is on the prep line, when volume spikes (Saturday mornings, holidays), or when new hires need to know "where does this one go" without asking.
