# Uninstalling Dashprep

> How to remove Dashprep and what happens to your data and billing.

You can remove Dashprep at any time from your Shopify admin.

## How to uninstall

    In your Shopify admin, go to **Settings → Apps and sales channels**.

  <Step title="Remove Dashprep">
    Find Dashprep and choose **Delete** / **Uninstall**.

## What happens

* **Billing stops.** Uninstalling ends your Dashprep subscription through Shopify — you won't be charged again.
* **The board goes offline.** Your team's board at `yourstore.dash-prep.com` stops working.
* **Syncing stops.** Dashprep no longer receives orders or updates from your store.
* **Your data is handled per our policy.** Store data Dashprep held is removed in line with our [privacy policy](https://dash-prep.com/legal/privacy) and Shopify's data-retention requirements.

  Just taking a break, or moving to a different screen setup? You don't need to uninstall — you can leave the app installed and simply stop opening the board, or [downgrade your plan](/billing/manage-subscription).
