Dashprep is built to handle your store's data carefully and to hold only what it needs to run your board. ## What Dashprep stores To build the board, Dashprep keeps a synced copy of the store data it reads from Shopify: * Orders and their line items * Products, variants, and collections * Customer names and delivery addresses shown on order cards Plus the settings and accounts you create in Dashprep — your team's logins, prep stations, regions, and preferences. Dashprep has **read-only** access to Shopify. It never edits, cancels, or creates anything in your store. See [what Dashprep can access](/getting-started/install). ## Your data is your own * Each store's data is kept separate and private to that store. * Access to your board is limited to the team logins you create. * Connections to your board are encrypted. ## GDPR and data requests Dashprep supports Shopify's privacy and data-request framework. If a customer asks to see or delete their data, those requests flow through Shopify's standard process and Dashprep responds accordingly.
